Dr.Surjeet Singh Kaswan

Faculty of Physical Education was established here in Tantia University, Sri Ganganagar in 2016. It has been rendering the services of training and education for pupil teachers of Physical Education. While preparing a broad base of the teachers the training in teaching methodology, skills and educational administration through intensive practice of teaching and internship are rigorously given. The faculty of the college (teaching and non- teaching) put forth their efforts for the progress of the institution for which they need appreciation. We work hard to provide a supportive, positive learning environment in the college so that all students can realize their full potential in their time with us. I am very proud of the exceptional body of teaching staff we have working across the college, engaging the students in a wide range of exciting learning opportunities. All students are an intricate combination of both strengths and areas for improvement. Our modest size enables us to know each of our students well and build excellent working relationship with them. We seek to instill in our students a passion for learning that will bring the knowledge and understanding they will need to make a positive contribution to the communities in which they live and work. I am honored to be the Dean of Faculty of Physical Education,Tantia University, Sri Ganganagar. I am passionate about the vision that we all share for our faculty. I believe in high expectations and clean boundaries; an environment in which our students clearly flourish.

Dr. Surjeet Singh Kaswan is a distinguished academician and an accomplished professional in the field of Physical Education. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physical Education from Pacific University, Udaipur, and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He earned his Master’s in Physical Education from Chandigarh University and his Bachelor’s in Physical Education from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. He has also completed a Course in Physical Education from Shri Gandhi Teacher Training Physical College, Bhilwara, a Diploma in Yoga from Jaipur Yoga Center, Jaipur, and holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Bikaner University, Bikaner.

Dr. Surjeet Singh Kaswan is known for his excellent academic record and strong passion for teaching, making him highly regarded among students. He has over 33 years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Physical Education. A dedicated researcher, he has presented numerous papers at international, national, and state-level conferences and has published several articles in reputed journals.

He has successfully supervised 18 Ph.D. scholars and is frequently invited as an external examiner for Ph.D. viva-voce as well as UG and PG practical examinations across various universities. Additionally, he contributes as a question paper setter and evaluator, supporting academic assessment processes.

Dr. Surjeet Singh Kaswan has authored 14 books and has actively participated in international seminars, conferences, workshops, and academic sessions. He is recognized as a skilled organizer, innovative educator, and committed social contributor. Currently serving as the Dean, Faculty of Physical Education at Tantia University, he continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of Physical Education as a discipline and profession.
